Chicken noodle soup recipe
Best Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. 1 package (16oz/1 lb.) Extra wide egg noodles. 6-8 carrots peeled and cut into pieces. 4-6 celery stalks cut into horizontal pieces. 2-3 cans chicken broth (brand does not matter) 3-4 cans of cubed chicken. In a medium saucepan add the chicken broth carrots and celery. Season to taste with pepper and a pinch of salt. Set the temp. to about medium or medium high and allow to reach a boil for the vegetables to soften. At that point add the chicken and in a separate saucepan cook the pasta according to the package directions (cooking times vary for different brands) When the pasta is done add it to the other pan and stir well. Variations Instead of canned chicken use rotisserie chicken. In place of extra wide egg noodles use any other kind of pasta you would like to experiment with. For a kick add a pinch or two of minced garlic. This is one of my favorite recipes very versatile and always a crowd pleaser.
