Award Winning Salsa Award Winning Salsa Ingredients ( the following makes aprox. Two qts.) 3-4 Roma Tomatoes 2-3 Hothouse tomatoes 2-3 Beefsteak tomatoes 1 yellow onion (large) 1 white onion (large) 2 Anaheim peppers 3-4 jalapenos (small) bundle of fresh cilantro Salt Lemon juice Lime juice El pato tomato sauce Procedure Dice up the tomatoes, peppers and onions this can be done by hand or in a food processor if done by hand the result is a chunkier salsa. Afte those things have been blended or chopped slowly add the Cilantro to taste. After that addition add a pinch of salt and a few squirts of the lemon and lime juices fresh juice gives it a fresher flavor but bottled can Be used as well after the addition of the juices blend or stir together if a thinner consistency is desired add aprox. half of the can of spicy tomato sauce. Notes It is always better to serve the salsa chilled. The addition of various peppers Such as Habenjeros or more Jalapenos will greatly increase the heat.
